Questions we get asked
- What actually makes bread sourdough?
- Sourdough is raised by a live culture of wild yeasts and lactic bacteria kept going in a starter, rather than by added commercial yeast. The ferment runs far longer, which is where the tang, the chewier crumb and the darker crust come from.
- What is the difference between a flat white, a latte and a cappuccino?
- All three are espresso with steamed milk. A flat white is the smallest, with a thin layer of microfoam. A latte is larger with more milk. A cappuccino carries a thicker cap of foam. The espresso underneath is generally the same.
